As the BCHL season creeps closer, the West Kelowna Warriors have been busy.

The team announced a trio of new commitments this week in Justin Katz, Isaiah Norlin and Zachary Reim.

Katz is a goaltender who joins the club from Deerfield Academy of the US High School Prep league.

He has spent time playing alongside current Warriors blue liners Charles-Alexis Legault and Alexi Van Houtte-Cachero, and even trains with Legault a lot.

Norlin and Reim are both defensemen from Minnesota and are joining the Warriors from USHS Prep as well.

Norlin is a smooth-skating player who sees the ice well and plays a simple game, explained Warriors coach and GM Simon Ferguson.

Reim was the captain of the Gentry Academy team where he played with Norlin and is a “good first pass defenseman” who skates and defends well.

To make room on the roster, the Warriors dealt Corey McCann to the Blackfalds Bulldogs of the AJHL earlier this week.
