The fan favourite Teddy Bear Toss game will be returning next Friday, as the West Kelowna Warriors host the Vernon Vipers.

The game is more than just a fun experience for fans, as the event will help different areas of the community provide stuffies to places that need them the most.

This season, teddy bears will be distributed around West Kelowna, including approximately 80 bears that will be gifted to senior centres in the community. The rest will go to the Toy Mountain event, taking place at the Orchard Park Mall from Thursday, Dec. 8-10th.

For the second consecutive year, Kelowna Ford Lincoln will sponsor the night and bring trucks to collect the bears following the Warriors first goal of the game. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used stuffed animals wrapped in plastic to throw on the ice.

"The Teddy Bear Toss is always a game that is circled on the calendar for fans and the community," said Warriors President Chris Laurie.

"We are looking forward to one of our most exciting games of the year and are spreading the stuffed animals around to various beneficiaries this year to increase the positive impact. There will also be bears available at the game by donation. It should be a really fun event.”

The Warriors (12-5-2-0) are back in action with a trip up to Prince George this weekend for a set of games against the 12-6-1-1 Spruce Kings. Friday's puck drop is set for 7 pm from the Kopar Memorial Arena. Click here for more information.
