The West Kelowna Warriors will be playing to extend their season on Friday after the Salmon Arm Silverbacks took a commanding 3-1 series lead in game four.

The Warriors were on the road and struggled to find the back of the net as the Silverbacks won 3-0, scoring all their goals in the first period on Wednesday.

Salmon Arm got the scoring started at the 6:17 mark of the first period as Cole Cooksey’s shot from the right goal line got past the shoulder of Matthew DellaRusso.

Nearly 10 minutes later, JJ Monteiro doubled Salmon Arm’s lead with a backhand shot from the slot.

The Silverbacks extended their lead in the dying minutes of the opening frame when Patrick Raftery buried his third goal of the postseason.

The Warriors matched the Silverbacks for shot attempts in the second and third periods, but nothing got past Eli Pulver.

Salmon Arm went on to take the 3-0 victory, the first time the Warriors were shut out this postseason.

The Warriors will look to keep their season going in game five this Friday as they attempt to dig out of a 3-1 series deficit.

Puck drop is at 7 pm at Royal LePage Place.
