More than 200 paddlers will be in Kelowna this weekend for the fifth annual Waterman Paddle Festival.

Hosted by the Kelowna Paddle Centre, the even features five different events and brings in athletes from all over the Pacific Northwest.

“Waterman Paddle Festival continues to grow each year and we’re looking forward to offering a fantastic event this weekend,” said Natasha Elliott, race coordinator.

The event has become a favourite for Kelowna Paddle Centre athletes like Dave Allen, who says it’s always great to paddle at home.

He’ll be competing in Saturday’s small boat race and is also organizing the stand up paddle board spring race later in the day.

Events will take place all throughout the weekend and spectators can view all the action from the beach at the Kelowna Paddle Centre.
