When news of Matthew Good collapsing on stage in Edmonton got out, many were wondering if he would be well enough to play—especially after canceling his following show in Prince George spending a night in hospital.

However, the crowd at Prospera Place got what they came for, and arguably more.

Because he rallied and chose to play, the fans showed even greater support, which in return seemed to make Good dig even deeper into his songs.

His set appeared carefully planned, alternating between slow and heavy songs, with generous pauses for water in between.

He even stopped to let the crowd in on what the tour manager was saying in his ear. "Pause and breathe," he reiterated and everybody cheered.

He kicked off the night with his 1998 hit single, Apparitions, in a mood-lit solo act—Good, his guitar and a single spotlight.

As Good's big moments in the alternative rock scene took place in the 90s, the crowd was a little older, meaning fewer cell phones were out and more lighters were swaying back and forth.

After working his way through 10 songs, consisting of throwbacks like Load Me Up and newer hits to boot, Good said goodnight to a standing ovation and walked off arm in arm with his bandmates.

His final show takes place in Abbotsford tonight.

Following Good's set, Our Lady Peace took to the stage and gave the crowd a good old alternative rock show.

The band kicked off the show with Hiding Place For Hearts, followed by 1996 hit song, Superman's Dead.

Before entering the softer bridge of the song, Superman's Dead, lead singer Raine Maida stopped to address the crowd.

"I feel like such a weight lifted with Matt coming out here and putting on such a good show," and the crowd cheered wildly.

Maida had been a strong support for Good during the tour with various kind acts like bringing him food, visiting him in the hospital and writing to Good's fans.

Once the sense of relief waned, Maida was ready to rock out and give the Prospera crowd a hard-hitting show.

"So let's have a f***ing rock concert," he said and jumped back into the song.

After Superman's Dead, he performed Is Anybody Home, followed by a cover of Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs!

The song ended with a myriad of songs old and new. Our Lady Peace will also play tonight in Abbotsford. Following Abbotsford, the band takes a break and hits the stage next on Canada Day in Timmins, Ont.
