After “coming to their senses” and quitting their day jobs, the members of Kelowna groove-rock trio The Carbons, have been living out their dream of pursuing music full time for the last year.

Following the release of their debut album, August Ash, the band has experienced one hell of a year which included 70 tour dates, working with Canadian music legends both on and off stage, lineup changes, and more.

NowMedia caught up with founding member and frontman, Tomy Thisdale to chat about how the band has coped with the aforementioned experiences, their newest releases, and coming home to Kelowna for what he says will be the group’s “best show yet.”

Not only did Thisdale grace us with some rock and roll wisdom, but he gave NowMedia an exclusive acoustic performance of their latest single “Black Mirror,” which is set to drop on Friday, March 15.

You can catch The Carbons tomorrow night at Doc Willoughby's with local legends, Malibu Knights for a manageable $10 cover, or you can stay up to date with them via Facebook, Instagram and Spotify.
