Vancouver based Westward Music Festival has announced its first round of artists for 2019.

The festival takes place in unique venues throughout the city and blends popular indie acts with stand out local music.

Performers this year include The Paper Kites, Mt. Joy, Black Mountain and Owen Pallet among others.

“We are confident that this is our most exciting and energetic lineup to date, and we hope that we can continue to present the city with world class musicians alongside Vancouver’s amazing artists,” said festival director Justin Kwan.

The 2018 edition of the festival featured names such as Blood Orange and Sophie so those on the fence about attending can count a few more more trendy artists to be announced.
