As a part of the City of Vernon's commitment to make cycling easier for residents and visitors, a number of cycling maps detailing an extensive network of routes around the city are now available.

Free copies of the cycling map are located at Vernon City Hall and Community Services Building, the Okanagan Regional Library (Vernon Branch), the Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Vernon Association, Skyride and Sun Country Cycle shops, as well as several local cafes. The maps can also be viewed online.

City employees consulted with the public and key stakeholders during the 15 community input sessions in 2013 and 2014 to develop the best mapping route for cycling and walking. In September 2014, the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan was endorsed by Council for inclusion in the Master Transportation Plan, and is now currently under development.

The project was funded in part by the Healthy Communities Capacity Building Fund.
