RCMP Investigating Fire at Vernon Boat Shop

An early morning emergency saw three boats on fire outside a boat shop in Vernon.

Vernon Fire Rescue responded just after 3 a.m. on Saturday, May 30th to a boat shop at 3001 43rd Avenue in Vernon, finding one motorboat fully engulfed in fire with two others on fire as well. Firefighters knocked down the fire within about 15 minutes. One of the boats was completely destroyed by the flames, while the two others faced significant damage.

The fire is under investigation, with both Vernon Fire Rescue and RCMP at the scene.
