A tragic accident claimed the lives of two men in Vernon early Sunday morning.

On Sunday, June 28th, Vernon RCMP responded to a collision at about 6:30 a.m. on East Vernon Road. From the early stages of the investigation, it seems that a single motorcycle with two men was going on north when it left the road and hit a parked utility trailer.

Both men were pronounced dead on the scene.

RCMP say that it doesn’t look like the men were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. RCMP and BC Coroner’s Service are investigating the incident.

The names of the two men are not being released at this time.
