Young Motorcyclists Identified in Fatal Vernon Accident

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of two beloved young men who died following a motorcycle incident in Vernon on Sunday, June 28th.

James Tyler Folden, aged 23 from Lumby, and Trinity James Dale Bright, aged 24 from Cherryville, were killed after hitting a parked utility trailer on East Vernon Road in the early morning hours of June 28th. Both Folden and Bright were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Folden was driving an off-road motorcycle with Bright on the back when the two struck a parked utility trailer.

The two young men were engaged to be married and Folden was the father to a baby girl. Both Folden and Bright also appeared to be avid campers and outdoor enthusiasts. Bright was originally from Cherryville, but was most recently living in Canmore, Alberta.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate these deaths. The families of both men have been notified of their deaths.
