Mudslide closes Highway 97 near Sicamous

Highway 97A is closed near Sicamous because of a mudslide.

DriveBC reported the slide and the closure around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
 


The closure is around 10 kms south of Sicamous and motorists can use Highway 97B and Highway 1 as a detour.

An assessment is currently in progress and DriveBC is hoping to update the situation before noon.

There is, however, no estimated time of reopening.
