Police pursued a number of investigative avenues over the last few days, both by ground and air, and the search reached as far as Alberta.

On Tuesday, the 52-year-old was found dead by North Okanagan RCMP after they received information regarding her burgundy coloured minivan, which was seen in the area.

Foul play does not appear to be involved in Ruigrok’s death.

The investigation has now been handed over to the BC Coroners Service and no further information will be released at this time.
