Police learned that the vehicle was travelling west and failed to properly negotiate a curve, causing the driver to lose control.

The car struck a tree before rolling several times into an embankment.

The two occupants of the vehicle were transported to nearby hospitals with serious injuries where one of them, a 59-year-old Armstrong man, died.

“We are now investigating a fatal collision as unfortunately, the 59 year old passenger did not recovered from his injuries and died in hospital,” said Cpl. Yannick Lescarbeau.

An RCMP collision analyst attended the scene to conduct further investigation into the cause of the crash and investigators have also interviewed several witnesses.

The cause of the crash is still under further investigation.
