On Saturday morning Motive 8 Fitness hosted a charity car wash at Kelowna Toyota in order to support local non-profit charity CRIS Adaptive Adventures.

Motive 8 Fitness is an in-home personal training company that was started in Ontario and has recently come to B.C. CRIS Adaptive Adventures is a non-profit organization that uses sporting equipment to enable people of all abilities and disabilities to interact with the great outdoors.

These two companies joining forces was a match made in heaven as they both share a strong passion for exercise.

Five people from each team came together to wash community members vehicles in order to get closer to their $500 goal for CRIS. Even participants of the adaptive adventures joined in to help as well as share the benefits that CRIS can have on those with limited mobility.

"I've been able to go out and do things I normally wouldn't be able to do on my own, like hiking and cycling and it feels great!"  said one participant of the adaptive adventures

It wasn't all work and no play at this event, several water fights broke out and some of the younger attendees even got a turn at spraying the vehicles.

The event is running until 4 p.m. today, so be sure to head to Kelowna Toyota and get a squeaky clean car for a great cause!
