As the end of summer quickly approaches we want to make sure that you make the most of your holidays.

KelownaNow's Savannah Bagshaw is back again to tell you all about the events taking place in Kelowna over this weekend.

The annual West Kelowna World Music Festival is making its return this weekend to Memorial Park. Showcasing numerous genres of music played by artists from all throughout the province, as well as a public art installation makes this a must attend event.

The Okanagan Historical Society will be hosting an old fashioned family social this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Father Pandosy Mission.  There will be tons of unique activities including historical demonstrations, antique fire trucks, and face-painting. Admission is two dollars per adult and five dollars per family.

The 13th annual back to school bash will be taking place this Saturday at Parkinson recreation centre from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Families in need will be able to get all of the back to school essentials their children will need including backpacks and haircuts. There also be some tasty treats, games, and entertainment for all.

The 2016 Dragon Boat festival will be taking place this Saturday and Sunday with a host of different races to take in and numerous vendors tables to browse you and your family will never be bored.
