As the International Day of Happiness quickly approaches, you may be wondering what you can do to spread the joy. Well, wonder no more - Kelowna will be getting its first Happiness Wall.
March 20th, marks the International Day of Happiness, and to celebrate and share happiness, locals can head to Orchard Park Mall on Saturday, March 18th and participate in Kelowna’s very first Happiness Wall.
This event was created by Live Happy, a magazine out of the United States that focuses on sharing the positive stories of others, and also offers tips on how to live a happier life.
Live Happy hosts events all over North America by recruiting Happiness Ambassadors.
Kelowna local, Trina Zacharias is Kelowna’s Happiness Ambassador and has been promoting happy acts through the event's Facebook Page to bring some sunshine to the social media platform in the days leading up to the big event.
The event will take place on the Starbucks Patio in Orchard Park Mall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. this Saturday.
Upon arrival, attendees will receive a card where they will write their happy act. Whether it be pledging to spend more time with family or smile at someone you walk past, once written on the card and posted to the wall, Live Happy will donate $1 to our local Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization.
In addition to the happy act cards, attendees will also be able to enjoy a number of fun activities throughout the day, including face painting, Zumba and more.
