On Saturday night the Coast Capri Hotel came alive with fantastic music and buzzing conversation as part of The Big White Ski Club’s Dueling Piano Fundraiser.
After the success of last year's fundraiser of the same theme, the club wanted to bring it back not just for them but for those who were unable to attend.
These annual fundraisers not only give those who attend an excuse for a fun night out but also an opportunity to support local athletes.
The money raised goes into programs that help athletes learn valuable skills in life as well as athletics and may one day provide them with the opportunities to move into higher ranks, as there have been a few Olympic athletes to come out of it from our own city.
With immensely talented pianists playing any and all requests and even coercing members of the crowd to get up and show off their skills, there were no faces clean of smiles at this event.
Mystery goodie bags and auction items were just a few of the fundraising incentives in place in addition to the dueling pianos.
Many local businesses pitched in to offer up some amazing prizes like a two-night stay and lift tickets in Revelstoke, delicious Okanagan wine and much more.
All in all, it seems as though the BWSC hit the right note with yet another fantastic event.
