The 30th annual Business Excellence Awards are shaking things up this year with the addition of four new categories.

On the same day that nominations are set to begin, the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce announced the news to expand from their usual six categories to ten, as they've determined that this year's awards needed to develop in order to reflect the varied business environment in the Valley.

In addition to the original categories Rising Star Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Mid-size Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Young Entrepreneur and the Business Leader Award. The chamber has also added categories for Social Impact, Excellence in Agriculture, Marketing Campaign of the Year and the Arts & Entertainment Achievement Award.

From now until June 8th, 2017, you can nominate your favourite business from Peachland to Oyama in these respective categories. You can find a nomination form online, and to learn more about the awards you can visit the event’s website.
