The 59th annual Rutland May Days festival is in full swing.

Though, locals have been able to join in on the fun at the midway since Friday evening, the annual parade took place Saturday morning to really kick things off.

The parade saw local business, organizations, clubs and sports teams come together to show off their community pride with dazzlings floats and demonstrations.

Proceeding from Hartman Road and down Rutland Road, the spectacle brought hundreds of community members out to take it all in.

Ending up at Rutland Centennial Park, those who followed the parade were then guided to the buzz worthy May Days celebrations.

With everything from food trucks and vendors tables to exciting fair rides and carnival games, those who are looking for a fun filled weekend should add the community event to their schedule.

Entrance to the park is only $3 with varying ride ticket and wristband prices.

The fun carries on until 10 p.m. tonight and is back again from12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
