7 events to attend over the Easter long weekend

Easter is almost here and with that comes a host of hopping events you won’t want to miss out on!

From breakfast with the Easter bunny to egg hunting and everything in between, here are six family-friendly events for you to enjoy this Easter weekend.

16th Annual Free Easter Pancake Breakfast

Round up the little ones and head to the Parkinson Recreation Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Good Friday, for a tasty pancake breakfast and fun activities.

Admission is free, however it is asked that attendees bring a non-perishable food item for our local food bank.

In addition to pancakes, you can expect games, prizes, and art walk and a giant Easter egg hunt featuring 15,000 candy-filled eggs!

Easter at the Farmers Market

Celebrate the start of the market's outdoor season by bringing the family to enjoy a fun-filled day of Easter goodness!

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. the market will be bursting with tons of activities including a new photobooth, games, a mini petting zoo with alpacas, treats, and egg hunt, and more. 

After having some fun, you can gather all the fixings you need for your Easter dinner thanks to the wonderful selection of local vendors. 

Okanagan Mission Hall Easter Breakfast

If you live in the Mission-area, head to the community hall between 9 a.m and 11 a.m on Good Friday to enjoy pancakes with the Easter bunny himself!

After feasting, attendees can decorate their own eggs, create crafts and join in on the annual egg hunt — all for free!

Cuvee & Cupcakes

Okay, this one may not be kid-oriented but adults can have fun on Easter, too!

From Good Friday straight through to Easter Sunday, the View Winery is offering up the ultimate combination — cupcakes and wine.

Grab your crew and spend some time sipping and sampling the View’s delicious selection of wines and ciders all the while indulging in a tasty CupCasions creation!

Peachland Family Easter Egg hunt

Join the Peachland chapter of the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club on Saturday, April 20 from 11a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Hosted at the Okanagan Boys and Girls club, everybunny can expect face-painting, prizes, a photo booth, easter egg hunting and even a bouncy castle!

The event is $5 per child, you can call ahead to reserve your spot.

9th Annual Easter Egg scramble

If you are looking for fun and philanthropy, look no further than the annual Easter Egg scramble in support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank.

Hosted at Memorial Park in West Kelowna, the event welcome families for an afternoon of Easter themed fun.

From face painting and crafts to prizes, refreshments and more, the event boasts a variety of inclusive activities in support of a worthy cause.

The best part however, is the massive easter egg hunt which welcome hundreds of participants each year. It all starts up at noon on April 20, so hop to it!

Easter Monday at Arion

Lasso the family and head to Arion Therapeutic Farm on Monday, April 21 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for a day of horsing around!

For $5 you can play and pet the animals, join in on egg and cookie decorating, make crafts and learn all about animal care.

Attendees can also look forward to a vegan bake sale courtesy of Bakery V and a sense of pride knowing your admission will be used to support the animals at the farm!
