Kelowna's Comic Con is back and better than ever!

Conquering the Kelowna Curling Club, the second annual event boasts everything from memorabilia, to celebrity guests, and more.

After great success in its inaugural year, founder and coordinator Mike Kay decided to step it up a notch this year.

Occupying the entirety of the main rink, the event plays host to nearly 100 artisan vendors, selling everything from Cosplay makeup and clothing to plushies and comic books.

Attendees of the event can geek out over a variety of gaming stations, including virtual reality, or visit the model building station.

Fangirling is more than welcome too as celebrity guests including Chase Masterson, and comic illustrators like Diana Greenhalgh are on site to chat with.

It wouldn't be a comic expo without a little Cosplay and although Saturday is the official contest, attendees are welcome to recreate their favourite fictional characters looks all weekend long.

The fun is not only indoors, but for day one the outer field is being occupied by local Viking group The Úlfhéðnar, who will be hosting demonstrations and battles all day long on Saturday.

You still have plenty of time to join in on the action as the event carries on until 5 p.m. and is back from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow.
