The Okanagan College Kelowna Campus is hosting its 37th annual Open House and Career Fair this afternoon.

An opportunity for students and locals alike to explore their options in education and the workforce, the event boasts over one hundred exhibitors.

From mechanics and welding to the culinary arts, college staff and students are on site until 3 p.m. today answering questions and doing demonstrations to showcase the skills they've learned.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the event, not only to gain some helpful knowledge but to become familiar with the campus.

Self-guided tours will take place all afternoon with few restrictions, offering the chance to see the different classrooms, workshops and high-end facilities the college houses.

However, the event is not only for locals, students currently enrolled at OC or UBCO are also welcome to attend, as industry professionals and actively seeking employers are also present and eager to talk opportunity.

The Open House and Career Fair carries on until 3 p.m. today, with free parking in the lot behind the Centre for Learning, so pop down and learn something new!
