The Okanagan Dream Rally returned to downtown Kelowna for its third year on Sunday morning.

Boasting over 200 luxury supercars of all makes, models and years, the event brought forth thousands of spectators to soak up the action.

Nearly 200 children from around the Okanagan who are living with serious medical disabilities or hardships are given the chance to feel like a real race car driver through the event. Paired up with a driver, these young ones get to co-pilot one of these wicked whips on a trip down to Penticton.

Hosted by August Motorcars and the August Family foundation, the Dream Rally is also a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House and has accumulated just over $400,000 over the years.  In 2018 however, they managed to double that number, bringing in an estimated $400,000 on its own following Saturday night's fundraising kick off.

Before heading off on their journey, the sidewalk of Bernard Avenue and Water Street filled with people to cheer them on. A CF-18 Hornet fighter jet wowed the crowd by flying just overhead, giving the cars the okay to head off.

Engines revving, rubber burning and smiles in abundance, the event brought forward a great morning for all in attendance!
