Lace-up your Skates
Grab your skates, and head downtown to Stuart Park for some time on the ice.
The beloved outdoor rink opened for the season last weekend and is ready to welcome you for a day, or evening, of lake-view skating.
Rink hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
Pancakes with Santa
This Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. families can pop by the Lakeshore community hall to enjoy the annual Toonie and Toy Pancake Breakfast.
For $2 and a new, unwrapped toy, you and yours can enjoy a hearty breakfast, holiday crafts, a goodie bag and some time with the man in red.
Craft Culture
Kelowna’s largest indoor holiday market is back at Prospera Place this weekend starting up at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Craft Culture will bring over 170 artisan vendors to shop through, ensuring you'll be able to cross multiple things off your Christmas list.
The event runs until 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and is back from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Wild Ambition Brewing
Kelowna’s newest brewery will open its doors at 1-3314 Appaloosa Road on Saturday afternoon, welcoming the public to visit between noon and 8 p.m.
Wild Ambition will have three creations to sample on site, a hibiscus sour (Flower Market), a farmhouse IPA (Dew Point) and a rye saison (Imaginal Phase.)
Rutland Light Up
For those of you looking for some community fun, the Uptown Rutland Business Association will host their annual light up in Roxby Square.
Activities will begin at 4 p.m. with carolling, hockey with the chiefs, treats and even a visit with Santa! The tree is set to sparkle at 4:30 p.m., and afterwards attendees can head over to Plaza 33 for crafts and story time.
Kettle Valley Light Up
If you’ve got a love for twinkling lights, Kettle Valley is having their community light up from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. this Sunday as well.
With participating houses vying for their chance at being named number one in three main categories, you can bet there will be some dazzling sights to see.
Shadia Dotty, whose house at 5330 Ptarmigan Street will be all decked out, is also collecting donations for the food bank and Kelowna's homeless population.
If you make a stop at Dotty's and have the means to donate, she is collecting non-perishable food items along with toques, mitts and blankets.
For those of you who can’t make it out, the event will also be live streamed via Facebook.
