Each weekend we'll compile a list of five or more things you need to know about. Whether it's community events, treats you have to try, killer sales or where to find some dance-worthy live music, we've got you covered on activities you need to KNow to make the most of your weekend.

5th Annual Winter Fair

Whether we like it or not, Winter is on its way! Rather than dread it, embrace it this Friday at the Westbank Lions Hall for the 5th Annual Winter Craft Fair.

From 3  p.m. to 8 p.m. you can browse over 50 artisan vendors tables, enjoy live music, grab a quick bite to eat and maybe even win some raffle prizes. Admission is free and proceeds from the raffle will be supporting Freedom’s Door.

Okanagan Potter Association Fall Show

This Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Okanagan Mission Community Hall welcomes pottery lovers to gaze upon the beautiful creations of potters from across the valley.

The event will boast everything from handcrafted pottery and jewelry to paintings and more, offering something for every art lover to enjoy.

Kelowna Farmers’ & Crafters’ Market

Now that it is a bit chillier, our beloved farmers market has moved indoors. This Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. will mark the first indoor market of the season at the Parkinson Recreation Centre.

With returning vendors and a few new ones, the market will still be a one-stop shop for all things local, only you won’t have to face the elements to get your weekly grocery haul.

Family Skate Day

If you’re looking for some family fun this weekend, head down to the CNC this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to participate in their Family Skate Day.

Admission is $5 per person, $3 for little ones under the age of six and $15 for the whole family, with proceeds going toward JoAnna’s House. Get in the winter spirit and lace up with your loved ones for a good cause. Don’t forget your helmet!

New Arts Collective first year Anniversary

For those of you all about supporting our local artists, you won’t want to miss out on NAC’s full day open house this Saturday.

To celebrate their first year of bringing local creatives together, NAC welcomes the public to tour their space, sip on hot chocolate, enjoy live music and purchase some Kelowna-based creations.

The event kicks off at 11 a.m. and will carry on through the day with a free, all ages show with music from Swamp Honey starting at 7:30 p.m.

Remembrance Day

Throughout this busy weekend, let's not forget to pay our respects to the brave men and women who fought for our country’s freedom.

As per tradition, the Kelowna branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will host their annual parade and ceremony at the City Park Cenotaph starting at 10:30 a.m.

The Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Unit 736 will also be hosting a ceremony and parade at the Lions Park Cenotaph in Rutland starting at the same time.
