YMCA Healthy Kids Day promotes active families for 14th year

The YMCA of the Okanagan is promoting healthy play today with their 14th annual Healthy Kids Day event. We chatted with event leader, Sofia Kozachenko to learn more!

Healthy Kids Day hosts nearly 50 activity stations created as a way to bring families together and promote an active lifestyle, bring families outdoors and learn how to incorporate active and healthy habits into their daily lives.

Free to attend, the event welcomes one and all to enjoy a day barrier free play, nutritious snacks and upbeat entertainment courtesy of various local dance, martial arts and athletic organizations.

On-site attendees can look forward to everything from rock climbing and bouncy houses, to face painting and even robotics.

In addition to keeping the little ones entertained, the event is a hub for parents to learn about various programs and services offered within the Okanagan.

With beaming sunshine and smiles in abundance, this event is one for all and it carries on until 4 p.m. today!
