While spring has been cool and wet so far, it has still been good enough for most Canadians to get a start on patio season.

With that in mind, OpenTable has unveiled its 2022 list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining and a few local spots have made the list.

In total, six Okanagan restaurants are featured in the top 100, which includes two spots in Kelowna and West Kelowna, and one in Lake Country and Summerland.

DunnEnzies’ Mission location and Home Block at CedarCreek Estate Winery are the Kelowna representatives on the list.

OpenTable even gave DunnEnzies an extra shoutout for being a pet friendly patio.

The other Okanagan representatives are Terrace Restaurant at Mission Hill Family Estate and Old Vines Restaurant at Quails’ Gate Estate Winery in West Kelowna, along with BLOCK ONE Restaurant at 50th Parallel Winery in Lake Country and Shaughnessy’s Cove in Summerland.

“As the first summer and patio season in two years without lockdowns or restrictions, the energy and excitement from Canadians is palpable,” said Matt Davis from OpenTable Canada.

“We expect this list of 100 Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining to be the season’s go-to resource for those exploring spots in their own backyard or planning travel throughout the country.”

Apart from the six Okanagan restaurants, there are 15 other British Columbian establishments included in the top 100 and they are all located in the Lower Mainland or on Vancouver Island.
