Confirmed case of COVID-19 reported at Okanagan elementary school

Interior Health is warning residents after another case of COVID-19 was reported at a regional school.

According to IH, Silver Star Elementary in Vernon had the confirmed case. 

IH did not mention whether the affected person was a staff member or a student. 

The exposure occurred on either Nov. 23 or 24. Contact tracing is now underway and the community member is self-isolating. 

Those who are sick or experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 are encouraged to stay home. This is the 10th school in the Okanagan with an active exposure.
