A body was pulled out of Okanagan Lake near Penticton over the weekend.

RCMP were notified of the body, which was discovered floating near the break-wall at the marina in Penticton, around 8:35am on Saturday.

Front line officers, BC Emergency Health Services and the Penticton Fire Department all responded to the scene, along with the BC Coroners Service.

The PFD rescue crew assisted with the safe recovery of the deceased.

Although the investigation is in its preliminary stages, the death is not believed to be criminal in nature at this time.
