UPDATE: VIDEO: Peachland house fire extinguished

(UPDATE: 7:15 p.m.) - According to an occupant of the property at 5843 Somerset Ave., the fire was extinguished. 

Videos from bystanders show firefighters tackling the fire with nearby houses in the background. 

NowMedia has reached out to the local fire department for more information. 

(UPDATE: 4 p.m.) -  A bystander, Kayla Kallen, saw the blaze engulfing the Peachland home, and took photos of the fire as it continued.

According to a renter of the property, the house in question was located at 5843 Somerset Ave.

(Original Story: 1:35 p.m.) A fire appears to have sparked at a Peachland residence.

Smoke was highly visible from Highway 97 and surrounding areas. A news tip sent it to NowMedia from a reader says that the fire is originating from a home just up from Ponderosa Road.
