With only a few days left until the federal election, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh is making a stop in the Okanagan this weekend.

Singh will be giving the incumbent MP Richard Cannings’ campaign for the riding an extra boost at a rally at the Lakeside Resort on Saturday from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm.

Organizers say they expect hundreds of people to attend the event, billed as “Jagmeet Rocks Penticton.”

Singh last visited Penticton in August and took in a Vees game, cycled the KVR and rallied at a sold out event at Linden Gardens.

“We are offering voters a chance to vote for something, for action on climate change, for expanding services including national pharmacare, childcare, and senior’s care to make life more affordable for those struggling,” said Cannings.

“As Jagmeet pointed out, there is a choice other than denial and delay. I have a record of cooperation in government and I’m asking voters to keep a progressive MP in Ottawa to be part of Jagmeet’s team.”
