The province wants to hear input from Okanagan residents about potential safety improvements for Highway 97 through Lake Country.

On Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Winfield Memorial Hall, residents are invited to attend an open house where both interim and long-term safety improvement options from Duck Lake to Lodge Road will be discussed.

Staff from the Ministry of Transportation will present options at the event that runs from 3 pm to 7 pm, with the goal of refining the concepts with input from the public.

Open house materials will be posted online on the day of the open house for those who can’t attend, those documents can be viewed by clicking here

According to the province, the process will be gathered as part of a comprehensive two-year transportation plan for Lake Country.
