A planned closure will shut down Hwy 97 north of Summerland on Monday

The closure will take place from 11 am to 12:30 pm on Dec. 4, closing the highway in both directions.

“The highway will be closed to all traffic during these times and will be opened as soon as the work and safety assessments are completed,” reads a Facebook post from AIMRoads.

Closures are planned to take place throughout the winter as work continues to stabilize the area after a rockslide in August.

Drivers are urged to check the road’s conditions before departing for their travels.
