A GoFundMe has been set up for the man found dead at the summit of a popular Lake Country trail last month.

According to his family, Josiah Black was hiking Spion Kop mountain on the evening of June 15 when he fell to his death.

The 33-year-old was a rock climbing enthusiast and it's believed he encountered loose rock at the summit of one the mountain's steep slopes.

"Josiah had recently returned to Lake Country with his wife to raise their young family after spending years working in Hollywood as an actor and comedian," said brother Nathan Black to KelownaNow.

"He's likely best known for his role in Jigsaw, which reached number one the worldwide box office during Halloween of 2017."

Black leaves behind his 16-month-old daughter and loving wife, who is pregnant with the family's second child.

"The purpose of this fundraiser is to offer support, show love and offer encouragement to Josiah's wife, baby, and baby on the way during this difficult and uncertain time," reads the GoFundMe.

At the time of the announcement, police confirmed that criminality was not suspected in his death.
