The first year was such a success, it’s back for round two.

Mission Hill Family Estate will be hosting the second annual ‘Festival of Trees’ on Friday, Nov. 23 and they’ve got some impressive fundraising goals.

The event hopes to raise $50,000 that will be donated directly to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“This holiday season Mission Hill will once again transform into an enchanted forest of brilliantly decorated trees highlighting the wonderful fragrances and magnificent colours of the season,” says a release from Mission Hill.

“Local residents and guests to the region are invited to visit the winery to view the holiday display, and make a donation to vote for your favourite trees.”

While the lighting ceremony takes place from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Nov. 23, the wonderful display of trees will be up until Jan. 4, so there’s plenty of time to visit.

It’s a great excuse to go try a little wine over the next few weeks as well since the winery will be donating all tasting fees during the ‘Festival of Trees’ towards their $50,000 fundraising goal.
