At least four vehicles were raided in the same neighbourhood on the same night.

One vehicle owner had his wallet stolen, but the others lost only sunglasses and loose change.

The streets targeted were Bond Road, Daniel Dive and Floral Road in Lake Country.

Mounties took the opportunity to explain to residents the importance of locking their vehicles.

“The RCMP would like to remind you that no matter how remote and safe you believe your location to be, thieves seem to be able to find you!” a Crime Stoppers notice read.

Two of the owners told police they had indeed locked their cars during the May 13–14 thefts.

If you could help with the investigation, call Crime Stoppers on 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or email CrimeStoppers@shaw.ca, citing file number 2019-26717.
