Oliver Fire Department announces sudden passing of one of their members

The Oliver Fire Department shared the sad news today that one of their members has passed away.

“It is with heavy hearts the Oliver Fire Department announces the sudden passing of one of our members, Dwayne Emery,” the department said.

Emery was active with the department in Oliver for 20 years.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family,” wrote the fire department.

Members from the Osoyoos department showed some support for the members and family who knew Emery.

“Our deepest condolences go out to our neighbouring brothers and sister at the Oliver Fire Department who lost one of their own yesterday,” they said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families. Rest easy brother and thank you for your service.”
