Thick smoke has settled over the Okanagan, getting especially heavy this weekend.

The haze is giving the area an eerie feel and a campfire smell, and we are under an air quality statement.

The conditions did force organizers to cancel the Kelowna Apple Triathlon, as air quality was too poor to put the athletes at risk.
