Police investigating following targeted break and enter in the Okanagan

Police are investigating following what is believed to be a targeted break and enter in the Okanagan on Saturday. 

According to Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, at 2:07 am, officers were called to a residence in the 700 block of 39th Avenue for a break-in. 

Upon arrival, one person was found at the home in need of medical attention. They were taken to the hospital for treatment a short time later. 

Though the incident was possibly targeted, police don't believe there is a further risk to the public. 

Anyone who witnesses anything suspicious in the area of Blackrock Road and the 700 block of 39th Avenue is urged to contact the Vernon Serious Crime Unit at (250)-307-1111.
