One of the most popular parks in the region has reopened after being closed since the devastating 2017 floods.
Hardy Falls Regional Park in Peachland has been restored at a cost of $175,000.
The floods destroyed two of the eight bridges across Deep Creek in the six-hectare park.
Many of the accesses and other creek crossings were also damaged.
The restoration work included the installation of two new bridges, the removal of hazardous trees and the rebuilding of parts of the trail.
“We appreciate the patience that everyone has shown in the time it’s taken to get Hardy Falls open again,” Gail Given, chair of the Regional Board of the Central Okanagan, said.
“And we certainly thank the province for its cooperation and Disaster Assistance Program funding to help us restore the park for visitors.”
In the year before the flooding, the park attracted 34,000 visitors.
