RCMP seek suspects that caused 'thousands of dollars' in damages at Okanagan airport

Mounties in the Okanagan are investigating vandalism that caused “several thousands dollars” worth of damage to an airplane at a regional airport.

A news release says the incident happened on Saturday, April 20 around 11 pm.

Three people climbed over the security fence and onto the airfield at the Vernon Regional Airport.

Police say the trio climbed in and out of several aircraft on the ground, which resulted in the expensive damages to one of the planes.

“We’re releasing these photographs to the public hoping someone will either know who they are, or will have information that will assist in furthering our investigation,” says Cst. Chris Terleski, Media Relations Officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.

The RCMP ask anyone who recognizes the individuals in the photograph or have any information that might assist, to call the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at (250) 545-7171 and quote file 2024-6040.
