“Our officers conducted foot patrols of the park and located a highly intoxicated man who matched the description given by the complainant,” said Cpl. Tania Finn.

“The second individual could not be located.”

The apprehended man, an 18-year-old from Edmonton, was placed under arrest for being intoxicated in a public place as he was unable to care for himself.

After being checked by paramedics, he remained in police care until he sobered up.

He’s now been fined $115 for being intoxicated in a public place and $230 for possession of liquor by a minor.
