Thieves drill into food bank's van to steal gas in Lake Country

Fuel has been stolen from a van belonging to an Okanagan food bank.

A hole was drilled into the vehicle’s gas tank and the contents taken overnight on June 18.

The van targeted was the 2008 Chevy Express owned by Lake Country Food Bank.

It happened while it was parked behind the food bank’s building on Bottom Wood Lake Road.

Crime Stoppers said it was the second time in a week they had received reports of fuel theft.
