Mission Hill Family Estate is one of six locations in British Columbia hosting the Festival of Trees, an annual holiday experience that raises money for the BC Children's Hospital.

Community businesses and organizations across the province can curate their own spectacularly decorated Christmas trees as a donation to the hospital, while the public is encouraged to view the incredible displays.

Over the past four years, Mission Hill has raised over $109,000 for the foundation, and going into their fifth year they have their eyes set on making their largest contribution to date.

“We’re aiming to raise up to $50,000 dollars this year,” said Craig Pringle, director of guest experiences at Mission Hill Family Estate.

“Each year we reach out to past sponsors, other local companies, and individuals often reach out if they’re interested, but this year we have 10 sponsored trees and the sponsorships range between $2,000 and $3,000 each.”

With each tasting reservation made during the Season of Trees, $10 will also be donated to the BC Children’s Hospital; and these private 60 minute experiences offer a guided tree-to-cellar tour including a seated wine tasting paired with festive bites.

Reservations made on Sundays in December, will include exclusive access to the pop-up Evergreen Mini Market which will be comprised of multiple local vendors showcased in the boutique.

Running right up until Dec. 23, guests can take in the beauty of these specially designed trees while simultaneously supporting a great cause.

In order to abide by provincial health orders and limit the amount of guests coming onto the property, the Festival of Trees will be offered as a private experience for up to six guests.

With only six daily time slots to choose from, visitors are encouraged to book ahead to guarantee an experience.

“We’re looking forward to raising as much money as possible for such a great cause,” Pringle shared.
