A water quality advisory affecting hundreds of properties north of Fintry has been rescinded.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) said the Westshore Estates water system advisory has been removed after consultation with Interior Health.

The system has about 279 active property connections.

The advisory affecting properties on Westshore Road, Colombia Way, Valley Drive, Bluebird Drive and Hillside Drive had been in place following a leak repair on Nov. 25.

“Since the work was completed, the impacted portion of the system has been flushed and testing results indicate turbidity is within acceptable and safe Canadian guidelines for drinking water quality,” the RDCO explained.
