The Okanagan is on drought watch, which means water restrictions are coming back for the summer.

Starting on Sunday, six water systems operated by the Regional District of Central Okanagan will return to twice weekly outdoor water restrictions.

Those water systems are:

Customers served by those six systems can water outdoors on Saturday and Tuesday if they have an even number address.

Those with odd number addresses can water on Sunday and Wednesday.

“If you don’t need to water gardens and lawns on your allotted day and time period, please don’t waste water,” said Bruce Smith, RDCO communications officer.

“By following the outdoor watering restrictions, residents will help ensure that system reservoirs are replenished and there’s an adequate water supply for everyone.”

In addition, customers with automated sprinklers should only water between midnight and 6 a.m. on their designated days.

Those who water manually must restrict it to in between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. or 6 p.m. and midnight on their designated days.

These water restrictions will remain in place until Sept. 15.
