A West Kelowna vet is looking to find a forever home for 10 puppies who have been battling a highly contagious virus called parvo.

“When they arrived at Rose Valley Vet they were all clinging to life; lethargic, dehydrated, intense bloody diarrhea and vomiting,” explained a Facebook post from Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital.

“We have been challenged to care for and treat 10 parvo puppies and their infected mother. It has been a long week of 24 hour love and care for these sweet angels, but well worth it to see the happy eyes of mom and babies.”

The puppies have recovered from the virus, but they’ll need a loving and caring home where they can get special care over the coming months, says the vet.

To try and find the right owners for these dog’s best benefit, they’re not selling these puppies, but rather giving them away to the best possible homes.

“The work we have done for the mom and her puppies was done out of our goodwill towards humanity,” said the post. “We do not seek compensation for the cost of caring for the mom and her litter.”

If you think you could provide a loving home for these puppies, visit the Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital website and shoot them an email!
