What better place to work in the tourism industry than beautiful British Columbia?

Okanagan College has announced a new Tourism Management Diploma program that will launch this fall at the Revelstoke campus.

The program will place focus on both the business side of the tourism industry as well as through paid co-op placement.

“This diploma has been designed with a great deal of industry input,” said Jonathan Rouse with Okanagan College.

"Our goal is to provide students a program that will help advance their tourism careers, while helping employers find the skilled workers they need – and what better place than Revelstoke for this kind of program?”

Local tourism experts worked with the College over the past year to ensure the program would hit the mark, for both students and those who’ll be hiring them.

“Students can take advantage of co-op with a local employer to build on their experience and build their network,” says Rouse.

“It’s a win for students and a win for employers who get access to talent.”
