Eleven students from Okanagan College's Floral Design program helped spread some holiday cheer this week, creating elaborate Christmas floral arrangements for the popular Home for the Holidays tour.

Home for the Holidays is a self-guided tour of seven private homes in Kelowna decorated for Christmas and featuring artists, tastings and music along the way. Homes are assigned teams of florists, interior designers, and event planners who then work together to style the spot with the latest holiday trends.

“This is a high-profile community event where people go all-out," said Okanagan College Floral instructor Kathy Neufeld. "The exposure has been great for students and is really building their self-esteem.”

The team was made to decorate the historical G.D. Loane House located on Abbott Street, a home built in 1937.

The tour begins on the night of November 17th and tickets can be found here
